Rewinding back to the crushed scenes displays them significantly brighter. then suddenly brightens up substantially. The scene then switches to a daytime scene and, just as you described, it stays dim for about half a second. ![]() I noticed the screen getting darker and darker until everything was just completely black-crushed. I was watching Prey in dolby vision - the last 10-15 min of the movie are fairly dark. Just had this happen for the first time ever on my LG 65B7A. It ruins hdr completely, because the brights don't pop on a dark backgrounds, they eventually just dim out aswel. but I watch a lot of horror, and if this is what to expect, it's honestly a deal breaker. I thought dolby vision was supposed to be fantastic on this tv, and foe me it has been so far. I found it very odd because in the scenes that the TV would dim, there were neon light and bright bulbs present, I watched them fade out until scene change. ![]() not even a particularly dark movie, and yet the screen kept doing this, then when it switched to a brighter scen it would stay dim for half a second before exploding back to life. I just finished watching Stephen Spielbergs "west side story". I hadn't experienced this myself as I hadn't had the TV that long. I know that lg oled have a major issue with prolonged dark scenes, I've read many posts about how the image will continually dim during dark scenes because the TV doesn't recognize movement and dims it as though it's a static image.
